Super Fantasy Zone Mega Drive

Super Fantasy Zone is the next-generation sequel to Fantasy Zone. After Opa-Opa's father, O-Papa, is killed in a surprise attack by the Menon empire, Opa-Opa sets out to destroy the enemy and avenge him. The gameplay follows the classic formula: navigate freely through scrolling stages, destroy all enemy generators, and defeat the boss. Coins collected during levels can be spent on upgrades in the shop. The game adds more weapons and items, removes the automatic orientation system from the Game Gear version, and uses the Mega Drive's expanded controls for improved gameplay.
